Keele wins Commercial Team of the Year

At the recent Kinetic User Forum 2018 at The Slate, Warwick Conferences, Keele University Events and Conferencing scooped the coveted Commercial Team of the Year 2018.

Kinetic, one of the leading software companies for Academic Venues have over 100 Universities utilising their software, which includes modules to manage the booking of both internally led and commercial external events and conference business.

Keele University Events and Conferencing installed Kinetic as their property management system (PMS) in 2002. Over the years they have worked closely with Kinetic in focus groups and customer forums as the system has developed and changed to meet today’s commercial business requirements.

Emma Woodcock, Head of Event and Business Development and Kathryn Cannell, Head of Events Delivery attended the Forum and on receiving the award commented; “To win this award is fantastic recognition from a commercial organisation such as Kinetic who recognise the alignment of our commercial strategy with the University’s overarching strategy.  Kinetic have many large commercial clients, which makes it extra special for Keele.”

Announcing the award Laura Lafferty, Operations Director North America for Kinetic who said “This award has gone to a University who has gone through great change, taken great strides and have made a vast improvement in operations, setting an example of commercial success moving forward for others.  They have gone through big change overhauling targets and ensuring their business aligns with the institution, driving forward the University goals, with a new approach and amidst all of this outperformed their targets.  It is with great pleasure we award Keele University with the Commercial Team of the Year Award.”
